Kennel Connection was created in 1994 by Mark Gorrie as a DOS-based tool for a single local kennel. Thirty years later, it is the only FinTech solution in the pet care space with that kind of history behind it. Through every shift in technology, every wave of consolidation, and every new competitor, KC has remained independently owned and deeply connected to the industry it serves.

When Jeff Brodsly and 100GROUP took ownership, the mission did not change. What changed was the pace. New cloud infrastructure, a rebuilt dashboard, integrated payments, AI-driven automation, and a dramatically expanded team have transformed a beloved legacy product into a modern platform built for the next 30 years.

Jeff’s involvement in Kennel Connection is hands-on and personal. He attends industry expos, sits in user group meetings, and makes hiring and product decisions directly. His background in FinTech and his own history in the pet care space give him a genuine fluency in the problems KC’s customers face every day. Under his leadership the team has grown substantially, salaries have been restructured, benefits expanded, and the internal culture formalized around recognition, advancement, and accountability.

Kennel Connection saw an opportunity to build something specifically for them.

Hello-Groom is a purpose-built platform that gives grooming professionals a powerful, intuitive tool designed to match the pace and complexity of their work. The goal was a solution simple enough to get out of the way, and capable enough to support real growth. Online reservations, schedule management, two-way text messaging, omnichannel payment acceptance, business insurance, VoIP, and access to a grooming-specific product marketplace are all built in, so groomers can spend less time on administrative overhead and more time doing what they do best: building relationships with pets and the people who love them.

Hello-Groom debuted at Groom Expo West in Pasadena in 2022 and is backed by the full support network of the KC and 100GROUP team.

PawLoyalty spent 13 years establishing itself as a leading cloud-based platform for boarding, daycare, training, and grooming facilities. Its strengths in digital charting, actionable reporting, and integrated marketing automation made it a trusted name in the industry long before the merger with Kennel Connection.

When 100GROUP brought PawLoyalty into the family in 2023, it was a strategic decision rooted in shared values. Both companies were independently owned, client-first, and resistant to the wave of private equity consolidation reshaping the pet care software market. The merger expanded the combined platform’s capabilities significantly, and PawLoyalty clients gained access to the full Software Connection ecosystem, including KC’s technology infrastructure, support team, and 100GROUP’s integrated payment processing. Today PawLoyalty continues to serve its client base as a dedicated product line within the Kennel Connection family.
